There's no place like home for Chesapeake, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Ironton Fighting Tigers on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Fighting Tigers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-11, 25-14.

Chesapeake can attribute much of their success to Bre Scarberry, who had ten digs and one assist.

Chesapeake was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That's the most aces they've posted in their last six contests.

Chesapeake's win bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Ironton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Chesapeake and Dawson-Bryant will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ironton, they will take on Southeastern in a tournament on Wednesday.
