Softball Recap: Sylacauga Aggies vs. Tallassee Tigers
Sylacauga lost against Tallassee back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Sylacauga Aggies came up short against the Tallassee Tigers, falling 14-4. The Aggies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Sylacauga saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alaina Bryant, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Brookelyn Harris also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Sylacauga's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Tallassee, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sylacauga will face off against Central of Clay County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sylacauga has given up an average of 8.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Tallassee, they will square off against Montgomery Catholic at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Tallassee's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last five games.
