Baseball Game Preview: Palm Desert Aztecs vs. Xavier Prep Saints

For the second straight game, Palm Desert will face off against Xavier Prep. The Aztecs will welcome the Saints at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Palm Desert 2.8, Xavier Prep 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Xavier Prep will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Palm Desert extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday. The Aztecs walked away with a 7-2 win over the Saints. Seven seems to be a good number for the Aztecs as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Palm Desert let Mateo Harvey-Olivo and Sebastian Morales run wild. Harvey-Olivo scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Morales scored a run while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Harvey-Olivo a new career-high in RBI (three). Parker Gladish was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Palm Desert's win bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Xavier Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-9.
