Baseball Recap: Whittier Comes Up Short

Whittier was the 2-1 winner over Santa Fe when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Whittier fell just short of Santa Fe by a score of 7-5 on Friday. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Andrew Ruvalcaba made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4. Whittier is 2-1 when Ruvalcaba posts three or more hits, but 3-4 otherwise.

Ruvalcaba wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Whittier kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.
