Volleyball Recap: Kaukauna Takes a Loss

Kaukauna kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Luxemburg-Casco Spartans. The loss continues a trend for the Galloping Ghosts in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost seven in a row.

Ashlynn Vande Voort paced Kaukauna's offense, picking up seven kills. Vande Voort got some help from Kala Lahm and her ten assists.

Alayna Deprez had a dynamite game For Luxemburg-Casco., getting 21 assists and nine digs. Deprez has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more assists the last 29 times she's played.

Luxemburg-Casco now has a winning record of 3-2.

Kaukauna wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Kewaskum on the 29th. As for Luxemburg-Casco, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Randolph on the 29th.
