Basketball Recap: Trinity Takes a Loss

After flying high against Onalaska last Tuesday, Trinity came back down to earth. The Trinity Tigers were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 31-30 to the Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls. The Tigers have struggled against the Fighting Owls recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Emma Sustaita and Bree Davidson certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Sustaita posted six points, while Davidson put up 12 points.

Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 21-13. As for Anderson-Shiro, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-12.

Trinity will head out on the road to square off against Coldspring-Oakhurst at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Coldspring-Oakhurst will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Trinity surely won't give up without a fight. Anderson-Shiro has already played their next match (against Crockett), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
