Football Preview: Peru Tigers vs. Wabash Apaches
The Peru Tigers are on the road again on Friday to play the Wabash Apaches at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Peru was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 24-20 to Lewis Cass. The Tigers gained 166 more yards on the day, but it was the Kings that made the best use of them.
Peru might have lost, but man, Isaiah Korba was a machine: he rushed for 290 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per carry. Despite the defeat, Wabash got top-tier performance from Noah Baldwin, who rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. Wabash also got help from Davon Osborn, who showed off his sure hands for 82 receiving yards.
Wabash wouldn't let Manchester keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Sam Harris was the leader in that area as all came courtesy of his dominant performance.
