Volleyball Recap: Hunter Hoffman Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Miami Valley

The Triad Cardinals got the win against the Miami Valley Rams on Monday by a conclusive 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Triad was: they took every set by at least 21 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-3, 25-3, 25-4.

Triad's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hunter Hoffman, who had seven aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Jenna Jones, who had three digs and three aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Triad was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Triad's record is now 11-7. As for Miami Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Triad has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Northeastern on the 30th. As for Miami Valley, they will challenge Emmanuel Christian Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
