 It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but West Branch had no problem doing just that  on Friday. They came out on top against the United Lions by a score of  3-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).
 Not much got past  Luke Liptak, who gave up just  four  hits and racked up seven Ks to keep United off the board. Liptak has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Isaac Tiracorda, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 On United's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  James Kordish, who  went 1-for-3 with a  double.
 West Branch pushed their record up to 18-4 with that  victory, which was their sixth straight  at home. As for United, their defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 14-7.
 As of now, neither West Branch nor United have any future games scheduled.
