Baseball Game Preview: Clarence Red Devils vs. Lancaster Legends

For the second straight game, Clarence will face off against Lancaster. The Red Devils will venture away from home to take on the Legends at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clarence's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Lancaster's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Clarence had taken Lancaster down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Monday. The Red Devils took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Legends.

For Lancaster's part, Ryan Szychowski tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

On the hitting side, Jacob Bencic was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Andrew Moberg also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Lancaster and bumps their season record up to 9-6. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Clarence, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-4.
