Recap: Rosman Tigers vs. Mountain Heritage Cougars
The Rosman Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They were dealt a 69-31 loss at the hands of Mountain Heritage. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Rosman in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now lost seven in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Rosman lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kaesyn Mccoy. Despite the final result, he scored ten points.
Rosman struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Mountain Heritage pulled down 15 offensive rebounds.
Mountain Heritage's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Caleb Roy, who scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Roy has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Deyton, who scored nine points along with seven assists and two steals.
Rosman has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Mountain Heritage, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rosman will square off against the Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mountain Heritage, they will head out on the road to take on the Warhorses at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Owen knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matchups -- so hopefully the Cougars likes a good challenge.
