League recap: Detroit Country Day climbs in state rankings

Detroit Country Day scaled the state rankings by moving to 39 from 65 this week, the biggest jump in Freelance. The Yellowjackets climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Notre Dame Prep 49-27.

Muskegon Catholic Central added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Fowler, 42-0. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.

Standish-Sterling's dynamic duo of Austen Snyder and Clay Walderzak proved tough for Gladwin to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Snyder threw for 52 yards and 1 touchdown and Walderzak had 52 yards receiving.

Raynell Anderson was a force in the backfield as Sault Area fell to Mt. Pleasant.

Anderson was a passing and rushing force as the Blue Devils fell to the Oilers.

Chavez Academy's Omar Salih and Nate Drew have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback Salih has thrown for 3,305 yards this season, while Drew has 70 catches for 1,379 yards. Sault Area's Anderson leads the league in rushing yards with 1,936.

Austin Brown has rushed for 906 yards on 104 carries so far this year.

Muskegon Catholic Central took down the Eagles 42-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
