Basketball Game Preview: Oneonta Redskins vs. Hokes Bluff Eagles

The Oneonta Redskins will head out on the road to challenge the Hokes Bluff Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Oneonta beat Sylvania 47-41.

Meanwhile, Hokes Bluff was fully in charge on Thursday, breezing past West End 48-21. The Eagles pushed the score to 40-9 by the end of the third, a deficit the Patriots cut but never quite recovered from.

Hokes Bluff has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.2 points per game. As for Oneonta, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.

Oneonta didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Hokes Bluff in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 35-30 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Oneonta since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
