Softball Recap: Isle of Wight Academy Victorious

Isle of Wight Academy's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 9-5 win over the Nansemond River Warriors. For the Chargers, this counts as revenge for the 10-0 victory the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2023.

The win got Isle of Wight Academy back to even at 10-10. As for Nansemond River, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

Isle of Wight Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nansemond River, they are taking a road trip to square off against Hickory at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed 1.3 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
