Basketball Recap: Triton Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

With a playoff win on the line, Triton rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They managed a 77-71 victory over the Eastern Alamance Eagles. This was payback for the Hawks, who suffered a 63-54 loss the last time these two teams met.

Ro'Mello Pegues was his usual excellent self, to rack up 24 points and six rebounds. The match was his third in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Demarbiaz Devane, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten boards.

Triton's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points over those games. As for Eastern Alamance, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-10.

Looking ahead, Triton will challenge Southern School of Energy and Sustainability on Friday. Southern School of Energy and Sustainability will roll in looking for their 18th straight victory, something Triton surely won't give up without a fight. Eastern Alamance does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
