Baseball Recap: Wilkes Central Comes Up Short

Wilkes Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 7-3 to the East Surry Cardinals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 13-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Wilkes Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for East Surry, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

Coming up, Wilkes Central will face off against East Surry at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Surry, they will take on Ashe County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ashe County will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something East Surry surely won't give up without a fight.
