Leesville Road has gone a perfect 10-0 against Athens Drive recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Pride will square off against the Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Leesville Road has three straight wins, Athens Drive has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
On Thursday, Leesville Road made easy work of Wakefield and carried off a 3-0 victory.
Leesville Road walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-17, 25-18.

Leesville Road's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Isabelle Barna, who had 28 digs and six assists, and Taylor Pasternak, who had ten digs and two aces. That's the most assists Barna has posted since back in August.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Athens Drive took on Millbrook on Thursday. The Jaguars fell 3-1 to the Wildcats.
Athens Drive started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-14, 25-8, 25-19.
Leesville Road will have to keep a close watch on Annie Baublitz and Holden Carroll, a pair of players who had a big impact on Athens Drive's prior game. Baublitz had 24 assists and two aces, while Carroll had 11 digs and one assist. Carroll has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played.
Leesville Road's victory bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Athens Drive, their loss dropped their record down to 3-18.
Leesville Road took their win against Athens Drive in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pride since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
