Recap: Fleetwood Tigers vs. Antietam Mountaineers
The Fleetwood Tigers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 55-46 victory over Antietam. Given Fleetwood's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 176th, while Antietam is ranked 490th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Antietam still got an impressive performance from Julious Williams, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was AJ Schiefly, who scored 12 points.
Fleetwood's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Antietam, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fleetwood will challenge Schuylkill Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Schuylkill Valley will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for Antietam, they will head out on the road to take on Kutztown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
