Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Liberty's 11th in Last 12 Outings

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Liberty walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Granada Matadors on Tuesday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 3-2 victory back in April.

The win didn't come easy: Granada scored at least 19 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-23, 20-25, 25-19.

Zachary Sisney paced Liberty's offense, picking up 18 kills. Sisney got some help from Tyler DeGuzman and his 27 assists. DeGuzman also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Nikolas Bernal, racking up three apiece.

Liberty has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season. As for Granada, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-11 record this season.

Liberty will face off against Northgate at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Broncos will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight. Granada does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
