Basketball Recap: Rockmart Comes Up Short

Rockmart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Ringgold Tigers, falling 73-52. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 395th, while the Tigers are ranked 151st).

Rockmart's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Ringgold, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

It'll be a Battle of the Bugs the Rockmart Yellowjackets challenge the Calhoun Yellow Jackets at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ringgold, they will be home for the holidays to greet Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
