Football Game Preview: Alexandria Valley Cubs vs. Munford Lions + How To Watch

Two dominant backs in Monqre Morris Jr (Mj) and Javier Curry are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Alexandria Valley Cubs will challenge the Munford Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Alexandria has six straight victories, Munford has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Alexandria didn't have too much trouble with Etowah as they won 40-22. The Valley Cubs pushed the score to 40-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Blue Devils cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Munford came up short against Saint James on Friday and fell 24-12.

Munford's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Alexandria, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.

Alexandria was able to grind out a solid victory over Munford in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 28-21. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Valley Cubs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
