Basketball Recap: Southwest Onslow Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Southwest Onslow can now relate to. They fell to the East Duplin Panthers 44-39. The Stallions have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

East Duplin found their leader in sophomore Kinsey Cave, who shot 42% from the field en route to 17 points and eight boards.

Southwest Onslow's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for East Duplin, their victory was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-2.

Southwest Onslow does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Duplin, they have already played their next matchup, a 53-28 win against Northeastern on the 4th.
