Baseball Recap: St. Paul/Palmer Finds Home Field Redemption Against Holdrege

There's no place like home for St. Paul/Palmer, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with an 11-8 victory over the Holdrege Dusters on Tuesday. With that win, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

Christian Lemburg was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Mason Hoppes also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.

Lemburg wasn't the only one working in the hit department: St. Paul/Palmer kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The victory got St. Paul/Palmer back to even at 2-2. As for Holdrege, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Coincidentally, St. Paul/Palmer and Holdrege will both be playing Adams Central the next time they take the field. St. Paul/Palmer will host Adams Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Holdrege will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
