Basketball Recap: Dooly County Extends Winning Streak to Four + How To Watch

Dooly County won the last time they faced Montgomery County and things went their way on Saturday too. The Bobcats walked away with a 48-36 victory over the Eagles. While the Bobcats didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Dooly County was led to victory by Aleesiah Taylor and Ja'Kayla Hooks. Taylor posted 18 points, while Hooks dropped a double-double with 11 points and 18 rebounds. Those 18 points gave Taylor a new career-high. Miracle West also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

When it comes to explaining why Montgomery County lost, don't look at Tamarley Hansley. Despite the final result, she shot 45% from the field to rack up 14 points.

The win was the fourth in a row for Dooly County, bringing their record up to 4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.0 points on average over those games. As for Montgomery County, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dooly County will venture away from home to challenge Crisp County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Montgomery County, they will head out to take on Wilkinson County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
