Baseball Recap: Kuna Takes a Loss

Kuna lost against Mountain View back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Kavemen fell just short of the Mavericks by a score of 2-1. The Kavemen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kuna had to settle for second despite strong performances on the mound from Zane Hoagland and Bergan Overall Hoagland didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched, while Overall tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, Overall didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March.

Kuna's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Mountain View, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Kuna didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-5 loss against Timberline on the 29th. As for Mountain View, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 7-3 win against Eagle on the 1st.
