Basketball Recap: Terianna Richardson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Aynor over Myrtle Beach

Aynor lost against Myrtle Beach back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Aynor Blue Jackets took a 47-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Myrtle Beach Seahawks. The Blue Jackets were up 25-11 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Several Blue Jackets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Terianna Richardson, who posted 14 points in addition to seven boards and five steals. Richardson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Lewis, who put up ten points and four steals.

Aynor now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Myrtle Beach, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Aynor will welcome Andrews at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Myrtle Beach, they will take on Wando in a tournament on Saturday.
