Volleyball Recap: Pike Takes a Loss

The Pike Red Devils came up short against the Columbus North Bull Dogs on Wednesday and fell 3-1. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 21-25, 25-15, 25-22.

Firroune Ouangueye paced Pike's offense, picking up 14 kills. Ouangueye got some help from PP Moo and his 23 assists. Ouangueye was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

Pike's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Columbus North, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pike will challenge Warren Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be Pike's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Columbus North, they will take on Fishers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
