Soccer Recap: Middlesex Takes a Loss

After flying high against Carver College and Career Academy last Wednesday, Middlesex came back down to earth. The Chargers lost 10-2 to the New Kent Trojans on Monday. While losing is never fun, Middlesex can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 212th, while New Kent are ranked 91st).

Kai Evans wasn't going to let New Kent walk away unscathed as he scored both of Middlesex's goals, bringing his season total up to 11 goals.

Middlesex moved to 5-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak. As for New Kent, their win bumped their record up to 7-4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Middlesex will face off against Mathews at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for New Kent, they will challenge Warhill at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
