The Andrews Wildcats''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 14-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hayesville. Andrews was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hayesville apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.
Everett Tatham threw for 26 yards on four of eight attempts. On the ground, Dalton Rose rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown.
The critical scores for Hayesville came from Seth Leek and Tre Graves.
Andrews has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Hayesville, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
Andrews will head out on the road to face off against Thomasville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Thomasville is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games. As for Hayesville, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Christ the King at 7:30 p.m. Christ the King is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
