Baseball Game Preview: Bristow Pirates vs. North Rock Creek Cougars

Bristow is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Monday. They will square off against the North Rock Creek Cougars at 3:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Bristow took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Skiatook, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Pirates came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bulldogs on Tuesday, sneaking past 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Pirates have posted since April 12, 2024.

Meanwhile, North Rock Creek entered their tilt with Southmoore on Thursday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the SaberCats.

Bristow has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for North Rock Creek, they pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
