Soccer Game Preview: Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech vs. Currituck County

Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech hasn't had much luck against Currituck County recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Griffins will face off against the Knights at 5:00 p.m.

Things were looking good for Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech after they put the first goal on the board last Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Pungo Christian Academy by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Currituck County sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Northeastern last Thursday. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Currituck County's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 166th, while Northeastern are ranked 364th).

Currituck County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-7-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those four contests. As for Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8-1.

Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to Currituck County in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Griffins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
