Basketball Recap: Walthill Takes a Loss

Walthill lost against Randolph back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Walthill Blujays were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 48-47 to the Randolph Cardinals.

Walthill has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Randolph, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walthill will host Omaha Nation on Tuesday. As for Randolph, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Elgin/Pope John at 4:45 p.m. on February 13th.
