Volleyball Game Preview: Lone Oak Buffaloes vs. Gunter Tigers

After both having extra time off, the Lone Oak Buffaloes and the Gunter Tigers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Lone Oak and Commerce, and Commerce kept the tradition alive. The Buffaloes fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-2 on Friday.

Lone Oak came incredibly close to winning: the sets they lost were decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 26-24, 22-25, 21-25, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Gunter had already won 11 in a row and they went ahead and made it 12 on Friday. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 3-0 win.

Gunter never let Bells on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-16, 25-17.

Gunter's victory bumped their record up to 27-11. As for Lone Oak, their loss dropped their record down to 25-12.
