Soccer Recap: El Monte Gets the Win

El Monte kept a clean sheet against Mountain View on Thursday. They skirted past the Mountain View Vikings 1-0. Even though the Lions got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Anthony Tzul was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.

El Monte's one-goal win came courtesy of Aaron Rivera, who's now up to four this season.

El Monte is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5-2 record this season. As for Mountain View, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6-4.

El Monte will take on Marshall at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. El Monte's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Mountain View does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
