Volleyball Recap: Langtree Charter Academy Starts Season with Loss at Home

Langtree Charter Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Jackson Day Mariners on Monday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

While Langtree Charter Academy ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-20, 25-17.

Aleah Nesbit paced Langtree Charter Academy's offense, picking up five kills. Nesbit really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with seven. Mia Bibic controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Langtree Charter Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Carolina International on the 13th. As for Jackson Day, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Queen's Grant on the 12th.
