Volleyball Recap: South County Takes a Loss

South County lost against PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Vipers fell just short of the Bluejays by a score of 2-1. The Vipers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaycee Gusemann, who had 19 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Gusemann has posted over her last seven matches. Another player making a difference was Payton Vogel, who had eight digs.

South County now has a losing record of 13-14. As for PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-16.

South County has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against North Mac on the 17th. As for PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Augusta Southeastern on the 17th.
