Volleyball Recap: Ottawa Cyclones vs. De Soto Wildcats

Ottawa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the De Soto Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cyclones of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-10.

De Soto can attribute much of their success to Ashley Scott, who had 12 digs.

Ottawa's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for De Soto, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-10-1 record this season.

Ottawa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss vs. Junction City on the 28th. De Soto has also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Tonganoxie on the 28th.
