Baseball Game Preview: Sutherland Knights vs. Greece Olympia/Greece Odyssey

The Sutherland Knights will square off against Greece Olympia/Greece Odyssey at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Sutherland is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

On Saturday, Sutherland didn't have quite enough to beat Mendon and fell 4-3. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by just one run.

Meanwhile, Greece Olympia/Greece Odyssey narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Bishop Kearney 7-5.

Alex Bianchi tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Carlo Leon, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, three RBI, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Ashton, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Sutherland's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Greece Olympia/Greece Odyssey, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
