Softball Game Preview: ITW David Speer Academy Pride vs. Trinity Blazers

The ITW David Speer Academy Pride will head out to challenge the Trinity Blazers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Trinity took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on ITW David Speer Academy, who comes in off a win.

ITW David Speer Academy is headed out to face Trinity after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. ITW David Speer Academy walked away with a 15-10 win over Northside on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Pride in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on Brianna Robles, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Amaya Tinsley, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

Robles wasn't the only one working in the hit department: ITW David Speer Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Trinity kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against Montini Catholic, falling 13-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Blazers have suffered since April 27, 2024.

Trinity saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aly Lopez, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

ITW David Speer Academy suffered a grim 13-2 defeat to Trinity in their previous meeting back in May of 2022. Can ITW David Speer Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
