Volleyball Game Preview: Mt. Zion Braves vs. Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs

Mt. Zion is 0-10 against Mahomet-Seymour since April of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Braves will welcome the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Mt. Zion will be strutting in after a victory while Mahomet-Seymour will be coming in after a loss.

On Thursday, Mt. Zion beat Charleston 2-0.

Mt. Zion not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Charleston between 16 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Mahomet-Seymour entered their matchup against Normal University on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 2-1. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Pioneers 25-21 in the first set.

Mahomet-Seymour started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-21, 15-7.

Mahomet-Seymour's defeat dropped their record down to 22-3. As for Mt. Zion, their win ended a five-match drought on the road and puts them at 14-10.
