Basketball Recap: Chaminade's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Chaminade put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Shalhevet Firehawks 71-49. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 22 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chaminade to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brycen Butler, who went 7-for-8 on his way to 20 points and five rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Butler now owns an excellent 45.6% field goal percentage. Braylon Sherwood was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Chaminade's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Shalhevet, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.

Coming up, Shalhevet will head out to challenge Pilibos at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Chaminade will be paying especially close attention to the Firehawks' matchup: after the Firehawks face off against the Eagles, they'll take on Chaminade again at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
