It was a proper cat-fight when Scott County faced off against Pleasure Ridge Park on Saturday. The Cardinals skirted past the Panthers 5-3. This was payback for the Cardinals, who suffered a 4-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Garrett Sparks was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since April 1st. Another player making a difference was Will Rose, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Scott County and bumps their season record up to 18-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Pleasure Ridge Park, they dropped their record down to 10-13-1 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Scott County will square off against Henry Clay at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pleasure Ridge Park, they will take on Elizabethtown at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
