Pinewood Prep had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Charleston Math & Science on Wednesday. The Panthers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Riptide a 12-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 16 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Pinewood Prep's record is now 23-0. As for Charleston Math & Science, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 14-8-1 record.

Coming up, Pinewood Prep will host Palmetto Scholars Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Phoenix have now posted at least ten runs in their last four contests. Charleston Math & Science does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
