Flag Football Recap: Pacheco Takes a Loss

Pacheco had lost three straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 5-9 to make it four. They had to suffer through a 35-0 loss at the hands of the Lathrop Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 28-6 back in September.

As for Lathrop, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won six matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.

Luz De Luna produced another solid performance throwing for 190 yards and five touchdowns. She has been hot recently, having posted five or more passing touchdowns the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Melia Lewis, who gained 64 total yards and a touchdown.

Coming up, Pacheco will challenge Central Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hawks' defense has only allowed 11.9 points per game this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Lathrop, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Grace Davis at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
