Baseball Recap: Murphy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Robbinsville on Monday, Murphy came back down to earth. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Black Knights by a score of 5-4 on Thursday. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Black Knights earlier this season, when they won 10-0.

Zack Hogsed made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Konner Dockery, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Murphy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Robbinsville, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

As of now, neither Murphy nor the Black Knights have any future games scheduled.
