Basketball Recap: LaCrosse Leopards vs. Ness City Eagles
The LaCrosse Leopards stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 75-31 victory over Ness City. The win was familiar territory for LaCrosse who now have six in a row.
LaCrosse's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lee Holopirek, who scored 19 points along with five assists and four steals. Caden Morgan was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
LaCrosse's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points per game. As for Ness City, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. LaCrosse will take on the Leopards at TBD on Monday. Lincoln will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 268th, while the Leopards are ranked 77th). As for Ness City, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Kats at 8:00 p.m. Chase is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
