South Amboy has gone  a perfect 5-0 against Rahway recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Friday. The Governors will host the Indians  at 4:00  p.m. South Amboy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8  runs per game  this season.
South Amboy is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have   all season. They put the hurt on Piscataway with a sharp  14-4 win on Wednesday. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Governors.
 Diego Col?n made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  struck out nine batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   three  hits. Col?n was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news, South Amboy got a  massive  performance out of  Robert Senape, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave  Senape a new career-high in  RBI (two). Another player making a difference was  Micah Nemeth, who  went 1-for-3 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs.
 South Amboy  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .571. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile,  it was close, but  on Thursday Rahway sidestepped Hillside for  a  9-8 victory.
 The team  relied heavily on  Alex Pineda, who  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while going 3-for-5. He has been hot, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last seven times he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Tito Capales, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 South Amboy's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Rahway, their victory  ended  a  five-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-3.
 South Amboy took their  win against Rahway  when the teams last played  back in April of 2024 by a conclusive  11-1 score. Do  the Governors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
