Soccer Game Preview: Arcata vs. Del Norte

The Arcata Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the Del Norte Warriors at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Arcata is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

Arcata's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Eureka with a sharp 3-0 victory. Give Arcata's defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Cruz Aguilar and Isai Aguilar scored all three of Arcata's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Meanwhile, Del Norte's game on Saturday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They skirted past McKinleyville 3-2. The win continues a trend for Del Norte in their matchups with McKinleyville: they've now won three in a row.

Arcata's victory bumped their record up to 7-2-2. As for Del Norte, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.

Arcata couldn't quite get it done against Del Norte when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
