Softball Recap: Terry Comes Up Short

Terry made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Victoria West, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Rangers fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 7-5 on Thursday. The Rangers haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Jamiyah Breaux was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Jaime Vela, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Terry's loss dropped their record down to 9-15-2. As for Victoria West, their victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Terry will face off against rival Tomas at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Victoria West is set to take on their familiar foe Fort Bend Marshall at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
