Basketball Game Preview: Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans vs. Palmer Terrors

The Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans and the Palmer Terrors will face off at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Fountain-Fort Carson came up into this matchup off a tough 20-point loss back in December of 2024. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Douglas County by a score of 52-49 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Trojans have suffered since February 1, 2024.

Meanwhile, Palmer played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Eaglecrest, falling 82-42. The match marked the Terrors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Fountain-Fort Carson has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Palmer, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Fountain-Fort Carson couldn't quite finish off Palmer when the teams last played back in January of 2022 and fell 53-50. Can Fountain-Fort Carson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
